Position Summary

Working within the Finance department with responsibility for all aspects of the Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger for the Gill Group of companies.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Accurately process purchase invoices ensuring that authorising procedures are followed

  • Reconcile supplier statements and follow up any differences

  • Prepare Weekly/Monthly payments in Sage and provide PDF support for authorisation

  • Process expense claims (incl. foreign currency) and provide expense analysis for month end accounts

  • Process monthly credit card expenses

  • Maintain GRN database (Access)

  • Credit control following the companies procedures

  • Accurately posting cash on a daily basis reconciling bank accounts

  • Processing new customer account forms

  • Daily sales order processing ensuring necessary checks completed on customers before orders processed

  • Raising of ad hoc and intercompany sales invoices

  • Other accounts/clerical duties

Position Requirements

  • Basic Book keeping skills

  • Previous purchase/sales ledger experience

  • Working knowledge of Sage Line 50

  • Knowledge of Excel essential

  • Ability to deal with multiple currencies

  • Manufacturing background preferred

  • Knowledge of VAT
