Wind energy sensors for efficiency and control
Gill monitoring sensors produce accurate results without the need for regular maintenance. Used in wind energy for profiling, efficiency and control through wind measurements and drive train maintenance.
Wind measurement
Ultrasonic wind speed and direction sensors provide reliable data to maximise efficiency according to current wind speed. Wind sensors are also used for wind profiling to calculate maximum power output predictions.
Gearbox condition monitoring
The installation of condition monitoring sensors increases reliability, reduces downtime and prevents catastrophic failure. By detecting ferrous debris in lubricating oil, they provide an early warning of wear and a view of gearbox health. This provides the opportunity to optimise servicing and reduce downtime.
Oil level monitoring
Capacitive liquid level sensors are used to indicate low levels of oil, loss of oil, and oil leaks. Poor lubrication can result in bearing wear, contamination and spalling – all causes of catastrophic failure.
