A more capable MaxiMet. Built from customer feedback.
Higher wind-speed capability, smarter connectivity, field-replaceable sensing and simpler installation.

Built on experience. Improved by feedback.
MaxiMet has been measuring weather across demanding applications for years. That experience, together with feedback from customers using the platform in the field, has shown us where it could do more.
The latest improvements focus on the practical realities of deployment, configuration and maintenance, extending MaxiMet's capability while making the platform easier to install and use.

What has changed
Wind measurement up to 75 m/s
Measure wind speeds up to 75 m/s, extending MaxiMet's capability into more demanding and exposed applications.
About 168 mph. Storm-force gusts that would max out today's range are captured, so the record isn't lost at the moment it matters most.
Bluetooth + free mobile app
Configure MaxiMet and view live data from your mobile device, making installation and commissioning faster and simpler.
The Gill Connect app is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play. No laptop or cable needed for set-up.
Field-replaceable environmental sensing
A new temperature, humidity and pressure sensor is designed for harsh environments and straightforward field replacement.
Swap the sensor on site instead of pulling the whole unit. Less downtime and lower lifetime cost, especially where salt spray or dust clogs filters faster.
Industry-standard M12 connector
A robust, industry-standard M12 connector simplifies wiring and provides straightforward integration with existing systems.
8-pin, with a choice of field-wireable connector or ready-made overmoulded cables from Gill.
Modular mounting bases
Providing greater installation flexibility, making MaxiMet easier to configure across different applications and site conditions.
One system covers a flat horizontal plate, a 1.75 to 2 inch pole, or a retrofit onto existing installations, so fewer custom brackets are needed.
More capability. Less complication.
The improvements to MaxiMet are designed to solve the practical issues that appear between specification and deployment. Higher wind-speed capability extends where the platform can be used. Bluetooth makes configuration and commissioning easier. Field-replaceable sensing simplifies maintenance, while standardised connectivity and modular mounting make installation more straightforward.
Each improvement removes a constraint. Together, they make MaxiMet more capable and easier to work with in the field.
Built for more applications
The upgraded MaxiMet platform extends its suitability across applications where reliable environmental measurement, straightforward integration and practical field maintenance matter.
Meteorological monitoring
Accurate, continuous weather data for fixed monitoring stations, environmental networks and applications where dependable measurement is essential.
Renewable energy
Environmental conditions can have a direct bearing on performance, operations and asset management. MaxiMet provides the local weather data needed to understand conditions around solar, wind and other renewable-energy installations.
Marine
Compact, robust weather measurement for vessels and marine platforms, where equipment must operate reliably in exposed conditions and installation space can be limited.
Industrial
Weather monitoring for industrial sites and infrastructure where equipment needs to withstand demanding environments while remaining straightforward to install and maintain.
Agriculture
Localised measurement of weather conditions for applications where understanding conditions at the point of operation matters more than relying on data from a distant weather station.
Infrastructure
Environmental monitoring for transport, construction and other infrastructure applications where weather conditions can affect safety, operations and planning.
