Intrinsically safe anemometer at Oceanology China

oceanology-international-china-2014Gill Instruments with local distributors PTC International will be presenting their latest Intrinsically Safe (IS) anemometer at Oceanology China from 3-5 September 2014 in Shanghai.

The WindObserver IS will be demonstrated on stand C76. Already approved to ATEX standards, the intrinsically safe 2-axis ultrasonic anemometer has recently achieved IECEx certification for use in explosive atmospheres. WindObserver IS can be deployed in hazardous zones such as offshore environments, chemical processing and other applications where highly accurate and extremely reliable weather data is crucial.

Gill’s new IS Low Voltage Power & Communication Interface (LVPCI) will also be on display. The LVPCI provides a low power and communication connection to the anemometer.

In addition to the intrinsically safe anemometers, Gill will be demonstrating a wide range of marine weather monitoring solutions specifically suited to the research, science and technology markets.
