Gill Instruments to debut new MetPak Base Station options at Offshore Technology Conference 2013

Gill Instruments will be exhibiting at OTC Offshore Technology Conference 2013 on 6th-9th May in Houston, Texas. Introduced in 1969, OTC is the largest technology event in its industry that focuses on the advancements in offshore equipment and resources. The annual four day conference attracts over 2,500 exhibitors and some 80,000 visitors to present cutting edge technology and innovative products from leading industry organisations. Covering a wide range of sectors including drilling, exploration and environmental protection, the conference promises to provide a unique environment to connect with industry users. Gill Instruments will display on stand #9955 their newly developed range of compact weather stations, alongside the largest range of wind sensors currently available on the market today. The MetPak range of multi-sensor weather stations has a number of new options now available, including Base Station variants with a wider choice of sensors. The new Base Station variants allow the user to specify MetPak, MetPak RG or MetPak Pro as a single unit or with a remotely mounted wind sensor from Gill’s 2-axis or 3-axis range. Additionally, MetPak RG and MetPak Pro are available with Gill’s new tipping bucket rain gauge for professional quality precipitation data. In addition to the weather station display the 2-axis and 3-axis wind sensor range will be showcased, including the popular WindSonic M ultrasonic wind speed and direction sensor. Sister company, Gill Sensors, will also be represented at OTC by US distributor, George David of Everight Sensors.  The latest range of non-contact position and liquid level sensors for harsh environments will be available to view on stand #806. Gill Instruments to Exhibit at AMS Annual Meeting 2013

Gill Instruments will be attending the 93rd AMS Annual Meeting on 6th-10th January 2013 in Austin, Texas,  which will focus around the theme ‘Taking Predictions to the Next Level: Expanding Beyond Today’s Weather, Water, and Climate Forecasting and Projections’. The AMS meeting held by the American Meteorological Society combines a programme packed with conferences, workshops and exhibitors from leading meteorology professionals. Created to promote the advancements in atmospheric science and its professional applications, the annual meeting offers the perfect opportunity to discuss and share developments with industry organisation and enthusiasts. Gill Instruments will be exhibiting on booth #913 in the main hall, showcasing the latest 2 axis WindSonic and WindObserver anemometer ranges.  The Ultrasonic WindSonic and WindSonic M wind speed and direction sensors feature an optional heating system and solid-state technology to provide accurate wind speed (0-60m/s) and direction (0-359°) data. The WindObserver range, including the WindObserver70 and WindObserver75 offer advanced ultrasonic technology and 150 watts of electrical heating power allowing operation in temperatures down to -55°C (-67°F). The WindObserver65, launched in October this year, is the newest member of the WindObserver range and is capable of providing wind speed (up to 65m/s) and directional (0-359°) data via 1 digital and optional analogue outputs. All the sensors within the range are environmentally protected to IP66 and offer multiple base, pipe and thread mount options.
