CAREERS AT GILL
Built in Lymington.
Backed by people who stay.
Nearly half of our people have been with Gill for more than five years. More than a third have been here for over a decade. That tells you something about what it’s like to work here.
We’re a group of engineering businesses with family roots, big ambitions and a shared passion for getting the details right.
If you want interesting work, the chance to develop your skills and colleagues who know their stuff, we’d like to hear from you.
Engineering that goes places
Think F1.
Think the world’s tallest building.
Think crossing the Atlantic without a crew.
From Formula 1 to wind monitoring at the Burj Khalifa and weather technology aboard the autonomous Mayflower ship, Gill technology plays a part in some remarkable projects.
We design, manufacture and support sensing and measurement technology for demanding applications around the world. Behind every sensor is a team making it happen: developing new ideas, engineering solutions, building and testing products, and helping customers put them to work where performance matters.
This is engineering with a purpose, built by people who care about getting it right.

Life at Gill, told by our people
Our “5 questions with” series puts a different person in the spotlight every few weeks. Here are the latest.
Inside Gill
There’s more to Gill than meets the eye
Engineering and manufacturing might be at the heart of what we do, but they’re far from the whole story. From Marketing, IT and Finance to Procurement, Sales, Operations and HR, it takes a range of skills and perspectives to bring great technology to market and keep the business moving.
Whatever your specialism, you’ll be part of a team working towards something bigger: building a business with ambitious plans, solving real problems and making technology that matters.
Don’t see the right role listed? We’d still love to hear from you. Email our HR team to introduce yourself, tell us what you do best and what you’d like to bring to Gill. The right opportunity might not be advertised just yet.

Community and connection
Good neighbours.
Good colleagues.
Getting involved.
Lymington is home to Gill, and being part of the community means more than having a postcode here. We support charity matching and Pennies for Charity, while Gill and our people regularly contribute to the New Forest Basics Bank. The RNLI has also been one of our chosen charities, with a Gill team taking on the Lymington 10K.
There’s plenty happening closer to home, too. Summer and Christmas parties bring people together, regular town halls keep everyone connected across the business, and our company newsletter shares the latest from all parts of the business. And if you know someone who’d be a great fit for Gill, our refer-a-friend scheme rewards you for recommending them.
