PRODUCT FINDER
Start from what you measure, not from the model number
Two questions, and you are in the range that fits.
Whether the measurement is weather, wind, three-dimensional flow or something inside a machine, these questions narrow 49 products to the range that carries them. Your answers carry through, so the range finder does not ask you the same thing twice.
Question 1 of 2

Tell us what you’re measuring and where it’s being used. We’ll narrow the choice to the sensors most suited to your application.
Question 1 of 2
What do you need to measure?
This decides which range to look at. Pick the closest match.
Question 2 of 2
Where will it be deployed?
Optional. It carries through to the next step so you do not answer it twice.
Tell us where it’s going and what you need to measure. We’ll narrow the choice to the variants most suited to your site.
Where will the weather station be deployed?
Pick the closest match. This helps us narrow the options based on environment, IP rating and typical accuracy needs. If none of these describe your deployment exactly, pick the nearest fit and our team can confirm the right model with you.
What parameters do you need to measure?
Select all that apply. You can always add more later, but this filters to models that carry those sensors built in.
Any specific deployment requirements?
Select any that apply. Skip this step if your deployment is a standard installation.
Based on your requirements
Here are the Gill weather stations that best match your deployment.
Tell us where it’s going and what matters most about the data. We’ll narrow the choice to the sensors most suited to your site.
Where will the wind sensor be deployed?
Pick the closest match. This helps us narrow the options based on environment, certification, IP rating and wind speed range. If none of these describe your deployment exactly, pick the nearest fit and our team can confirm the right model with you.
What’s important about your wind data?
Select all that apply. This covers wind range, gust handling and the output protocol you need to integrate with.
Any specific site requirements?
Select any that apply. Cold-climate operation, hazardous-area certification and aviation acceptance all change the right product. Skip this step if your deployment is a standard installation.
Based on your requirements
Here are the Gill wind sensors that best match your deployment.
Tell us what you’re measuring and how you’ll deploy it. We’ll narrow the choice to the sensors most suited to your application.
What is your primary application?
Pick the closest match. This drives the result more than anything else.
What specific capabilities do you need?
Select all that apply. These are soft criteria and will score candidates without eliminating any.
Any hard requirements?
Selecting these will eliminate products that cannot meet them. Skip if none apply to your deployment.
What are you measuring or controlling?
This decides which of the four ranges to look at.
Where is it going?
Pick the closest match. If none of these describes it exactly, pick the nearest and our team can confirm.
What is in the tank?
Select every one that applies.
Anything else it has to do?
Select any that apply. Skip this step if the installation is a standard one.
Based on what you told us

Frequently asked questions
How do I know whether I need 2-axis or 3-axis?
A 2-axis sensor measures wind speed and direction in the horizontal plane. A 3-axis sensor also resolves the vertical component, which is what turbulence, flux and eddy covariance work depend on. If the question is how hard the wind is blowing and from where, 2-axis answers it. If the question is what the air is doing in three dimensions, it does not.
What is the difference between a wind sensor and a weather station?
A wind sensor measures wind and nothing else. A weather station measures wind alongside other parameters, typically temperature, humidity and pressure, and often rainfall or solar radiation. If the site already meters temperature and pressure separately, a wind sensor is the smaller and cheaper instrument.
Do I have to answer both questions?
No. The measurement question routes you to a range on its own. The deployment question is optional and exists so that the range finder starts with your environment already selected rather than asking again. If you skip it here, the range finder asks about the deployment itself as one of its own steps.
What if nothing here describes my application?
Tell our team what is being measured, where the instrument sits and what the wider system needs to read. That is usually enough to narrow it in one reply, and it covers the custom and OEM builds that a question set cannot. Make an enquiry
