LEVEL SENSORS
LevelPro
The general-purpose capacitive level sensor.
LevelPro is the robust, general-purpose member of the Gill level sensor range. Capacitive sensing means there is no float, no moving part and nothing to jam in the liquid. The fully sealed corrosion-resistant stainless steel body makes it the default choice where the application does not demand a lighter build or a specialist coating.

Continuous level reading
Capacitive, no moving parts

BEFORE YOU SPECIFY
Is the LevelPro the correct configuration?
Before specifying, confirm:
- the measurement or level range the application needs
- the output and interface the receiving system expects
- the fluid or medium and its effect on the sensing surface
- the environmental sealing the installation demands
- the mounting arrangement and available space
- any approval or certification the application requires
If those match, the LevelPro provides that configuration.
QUESTIONS
Specification questions about the LevelPro
What is the LevelPro used for?
The LevelPro is Gill’s general-purpose liquid level sensor. It gives continuous level measurement of fuel, oil, water and other liquids in vehicles, tanks and industrial equipment.
How does the LevelPro measure level?
The LevelPro measures level capacitively. There are no floats or other moving parts to stick or wear, and the electronics are solid-state and fully sealed.
Which outputs can the LevelPro provide?
The LevelPro is available with a current output (4 to 20 mA) or a voltage output (0 to 10 V). RS232 is used for configuration. The current output needs a 250 Ohm load resistor across the output, and the switch output needs a pull-up resistor of 1 kOhm to 10 kOhm.
What supply voltage does the LevelPro need?
The LevelPro runs from +5 to +32 V DC. One output type uses a +9 to +32 V DC supply, so confirm the option against the datasheet.
Is the LevelPro sealed against water and dust?
Yes. The LevelPro is built in corrosion-resistant stainless steel, fully sealed, and rated to IP66 and IP68.
How do I choose between the LevelPro and the LevelLite?
Choose the LevelPro for a robust stainless steel sensor in general-purpose duty. Choose the LevelLite when weight matters. CAN is available on bespoke sensors.
Can I add a local level readout?
Yes. The DD1615 Level Display is a display accessory for the Gill level sensors and gives a local readout of tank level.
Where can I find the LevelPro datasheet?
The current datasheet is LevelPro issue 5. It is linked in the Documents panel on this page and on the datasheets page.
