LEVEL SENSORS

LevelSlick

For conductive liquids that coat, clog or corrode.

LevelSlick exists for the liquids the other sensors struggle with: conductive fluids carrying particles or suspended matter, and viscous or corrosive media. The FEP coating, with its non-stick and low friction properties, is the point of the product, because it is what stops the sensing surface fouling in service.

BEFORE YOU SPECIFY

Is the LevelSlick the correct configuration?

Before specifying, confirm:

  • the measurement or level range the application needs
  • the output and interface the receiving system expects
  • the fluid or medium and its effect on the sensing surface
  • the environmental sealing the installation demands
  • the mounting arrangement and available space
  • any approval or certification the application requires

If those match, the LevelSlick provides that configuration.

QUESTIONS

Specification questions about the LevelSlick

What is the LevelSlick used for?

The LevelSlick measures challenging conductive liquids: fluids with particles or suspended matter, viscous fluids and corrosive liquids, such as waste water and corrosive storage.

Why does the LevelSlick have an FEP coating?

The FEP coating has non-stick and low friction properties, which stop dirty and viscous liquids building up on the probe, which would otherwise affect a capacitive reading. The electronics are fully enclosed.

Does the LevelSlick work with any liquid?

The LevelSlick is designed for electrically conductive liquids. Check the medium with our team before you specify it.

How long can a LevelSlick probe be?

The LevelSlick measures up to 2 m. It mounts on a BSP 1.25 inch thread.

Which outputs can the LevelSlick provide?

The LevelSlick is available with a voltage, current or resistive output. A current output uses a 250 Ohm load.

What temperature range does the LevelSlick operate over?

The LevelSlick operates from -40 °C to +85 °C.

Can the LevelSlick raise full and empty alarms?

Yes. The LevelSlick supports tank profiling and full and empty alarms.

Where can I find the LevelSlick datasheet?

The current datasheet is LevelSlick issue 9. It is linked in the Documents panel on this page and on the datasheets page.
