LEVEL SENSORS

LevelDefend

The military-grade level sensor, built to requirement.

LevelDefend is the custom military-grade level sensor for defence vehicles and marine craft. It is solid-state and environmentally sealed in 6082 T6 anodised aluminium, and its outputs are built to the customer requirement rather than selected from a fixed list, which is what distinguishes it from the rest of the range.

BEFORE YOU SPECIFY

Is the LevelDefend the correct configuration?

Before specifying, confirm:

  • the measurement or level range the application needs
  • the output and interface the receiving system expects
  • the fluid or medium and its effect on the sensing surface
  • the environmental sealing the installation demands
  • the mounting arrangement and available space
  • any approval or certification the application requires

If those match, the LevelDefend provides that configuration.

QUESTIONS

Specification questions about the LevelDefend

What is the LevelDefend?

The LevelDefend is Gill’s military-grade level sensor for defence vehicles and military marine craft. Each one is built and calibrated to the customer’s requirement.

How is the LevelDefend built?

The LevelDefend is machined from 6082 T6 anodised aluminium, with solid-state, environmentally sealed electronics. It is designed to tolerate shock and vibration and has low EMC emissions.

Which outputs does the LevelDefend provide?

The output is specified to the customer’s requirement, so it matches the vehicle or vessel system it connects to.

Can the LevelDefend measure liquids other than fuel?

Yes. The LevelDefend is calibrated by the customer for the liquid it will measure, including bespoke fluids.

How do I start a LevelDefend enquiry?

Tell our team the platform, the liquid, the tank dimensions and the output your system needs. The LevelDefend is then specified to suit.

Where can I find the LevelDefend datasheet?

The current datasheet is LevelDefend issue 3. It is linked in the Documents panel on this page and on the datasheets page.
