LEVEL SENSORS
Catch tank level sensor
ACO Le Mans approved, for endurance motorsport.
The Gill catch tank level sensor is an oil catch-tank level sensor with ACO Le Mans approval, part number 1804-00-020. The approval is the reason to specify it: endurance regulations require it, and a general-purpose level sensor will not satisfy them.

BEFORE YOU SPECIFY
Is the Catch tank level sensor the correct configuration?
Before specifying, confirm:
- the measurement or level range the application needs
- the output and interface the receiving system expects
- the fluid or medium and its effect on the sensing surface
- the environmental sealing the installation demands
- the mounting arrangement and available space
- any approval or certification the application requires
If those match, the Catch tank level sensor provides that configuration.
QUESTIONS
Specification questions about the Catch tank level sensor
What is the Gill catch tank level sensor?
It is an oil catch-tank level sensor for endurance motorsport, approved by the ACO for Le Mans. The part number is 1804-00-020.
What output does the catch tank sensor give?
It gives an analogue voltage that rises with the oil level in the catch tank.
How is the catch tank sensor sealed?
The sensor is a sealed unit that mounts with a rubber gasket.
Can I use the catch tank sensor as a general level sensor?
No. It is a single-purpose sensor for the ACO catch-tank requirement. For general fuel, oil or water level, use the LevelPro or the LevelLite.
Where can I find the catch tank sensor datasheet?
The current datasheet is Catch Tank issue 3. It is linked in the Documents panel on this page and on the datasheets page.
