3-AXIS ULTRASONIC ANEMOMETER

WindMaster

General 3-axis measurement at 20 Hz, in the lighter aluminium and carbon fibre head.

WindMaster is the standard model in the WindMaster range: a symmetrical head in aluminium and carbon fibre, measuring the full three-dimensional wind vector from 0 to 50 m/s at 20 Hz, with a 32 Hz option. It is the general-purpose choice for site survey, ventilation control and air-flow studies that need the vertical component.

WHERE IT SITS

WindMaster in the WindMaster range

Within the WindMaster family the models differ by measurement range, output rate, build and approvals rather than by measurement principle.

BEFORE YOU SPECIFY

Is the WindMaster the correct configuration?

Before specifying, confirm:

  • the wind speed range the site actually sees
  • the output rate the receiving system needs
  • the operating temperature and whether heating is required
  • any approval or certification the installation demands
  • the mounting arrangement and cable or connector choice
  • the interface and output the receiving system expects

If those match, the WindMaster provides that configuration.

QUESTIONS

Specification questions about the WindMaster

What wind speed range does the WindMaster cover?

The WindMaster measures 0 to 50 m/s.

What is the difference between the WindMaster and the WindMaster RA?

Both are aluminium and carbon fibre, output at 20 Hz with a 32 Hz option and measure up to 50 m/s. The WindMaster has the symmetrical head for general use. The WindMaster RA has a right-angled head, for installations where the mounting would otherwise sit in the flow being measured.

How many axes does the WindMaster measure?

The WindMaster measures 3-axis, u, v and w.

What output rate does the WindMaster provide?

The WindMaster outputs at 20 Hz, 32 Hz option.

What outputs does the WindMaster provide?

The WindMaster provides 12-bit digital, with a 14-bit digital or analogue output option.

What temperature range does the WindMaster operate over?

The WindMaster operates from -40 °C to +70 °C.

What ingress protection does the WindMaster have?

The WindMaster is sealed to IP65.

What is the WindMaster made from?

Aluminium and carbon fibre.
