2-AXIS ULTRASONIC ANEMOMETER

WindSonic 75

The same sensor, a higher wind speed range.

WindSonic 75 raises the measurement range to 0 to 75 m/s while keeping the ASA/PC body, the 0.5 kg weight and the unheated build of the standard WindSonic. It is the option where the site sees wind speeds above the 60 m/s range but does not need a metal body.

WHERE IT SITS

WindSonic 75 in the WindSonic range

Within the WindSonic family the models differ by measurement range, output rate, build and approvals rather than by measurement principle.

MEASUREMENT

What the WindSonic 75 measures

The WindSonic 75 is a 2-axis ultrasonic anemometer. The WindSonic 75 does not provide heating. That is available on other models in the range.

Wind speed0 to 75 m/s (146 knots)
Wind direction0 to 360 degrees, no dead band

BEFORE YOU SPECIFY

Is the WindSonic 75 the correct configuration?

Before specifying, confirm:

  • the wind speed range the site actually sees
  • the output rate the receiving system needs
  • the operating temperature and whether heating is required
  • any approval or certification the installation demands
  • the mounting arrangement and cable or connector choice
  • the interface and output the receiving system expects

If those match, the WindSonic 75 provides that configuration.
