2-AXIS ULTRASONIC ANEMOMETER

WindSonic 60

The general-purpose 2-axis wind sensor.

WindSonic 60 is the standard plastic-bodied WindSonic and the starting point of the range. It measures 0 to 60 m/s in a 0.5 kg unit with no moving parts, for general-purpose wind measurement where the environment does not demand a metal body or heating.

WHERE IT SITS

WindSonic 60 in the WindSonic range

Within the WindSonic family the models differ by measurement range, output rate, build and approvals rather than by measurement principle.

MEASUREMENT

What the WindSonic 60 measures

The WindSonic 60 is a 2-axis ultrasonic anemometer. The WindSonic 60 does not provide heating. That is available on other models in the range.

Wind speed0 to 60 m/s (116 knots)
Wind direction0 to 360 degrees, no dead band

BEFORE YOU SPECIFY

Is the WindSonic 60 the correct configuration?

Before specifying, confirm:

  • the wind speed range the site actually sees
  • the output rate the receiving system needs
  • the operating temperature and whether heating is required
  • any approval or certification the installation demands
  • the mounting arrangement and cable or connector choice
  • the interface and output the receiving system expects

If those match, the WindSonic 60 provides that configuration.
