The MaxiMet GMX500 is configured to measure wind speed and direction, air temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure. The MaxiMet GMX500 does not measure rainfall or solar radiation.
HEATING
What the heating option actually does
Heating on the MaxiMet range is transducer-only and draws around 7 W. It keeps the ultrasonic transducers clear, and it is not equivalent to the full-sensor heating offered on WindSonic M or the WindObserver range.
Where the application involves severe or persistent icing, that is a WindObserver requirement rather than a MaxiMet one.
