GMX600 combines wind, temperature, humidity, pressure and standard optical rainfall, 0 to 300 mm/hr, in one compact housing. If rainfall accuracy is the priority, the GMX603 adds high-accuracy optical rainfall at 5% or better.

HEATING
What the heating option actually does
Heating on the MaxiMet range is transducer-only and draws around 7 W. It keeps the ultrasonic transducers clear, and it is not equivalent to the full-sensor heating offered on WindSonic M or the WindObserver range.
Where the application involves severe or persistent icing, that is a WindObserver requirement rather than a MaxiMet one.
