WindSonic & MetPak integrated into OEM product lines
WindSonic has proven to be a great success in all markets, however, the OEM market has shown great interest as WindSonic, MaxiMet and MetPak allows companies to provide their own products to their end clients with meteorological parameters already integrated.
OEMs
So what is an OEM: “Original equipment manufacturer (OEM) is a term used when one company makes a part or subsystem that is used in another company’s end product.”
Who are they?
OEM partners vary from using WindSonic as part of wind turbines, Crane wind monitoring systems, automatic lawn mowers, emergency monitoring systems, data buoys, weather stations and air quality monitoring systems. MetPak is also used to form part of OEM monitoring systems.
OEM integrators require sensors to be straight forward, simple to integrate and with multiple interface types available including RS232,RS422, analogue and SDI-12. WindSonic and MetPak have been widely used. MaxiMet also offers the OEM the opportunity to integrate a list of meteorological parameters very simply using one compact station.
Integration with our sensors can include the provision of adding the OEMs name and part numbers to our sensors.
Why Gill?
WindSonic, MaxiMet and MetPak are chosen as the base measurement for OEMS as it uses our proven ultrasonic technology, which provides one of the most accurate ways of measuring wind speed and direction. Our solid-state wind sensors are built with no moving parts and feature an ASA/PC blend (LURAN S KR 2861/1C) exterior, highly resistant to water, rain, humidity and UV, making them well suited to most applications.
