One Gill: one group, one site

Everything Gill designs, builds and calibrates now sits on one site, with one catalogue, one enquiry route and one set of technical downloads.

Key takeaways

  • One site now carries every Gill measurement product, from wind and weather to liquid level, position, condition monitoring and engine controls.
  • Every moved page has a permanent redirect, so existing bookmarks and datasheet links keep working.
  • One enquiry route reaches the same engineers who designed the product.
  • Nothing changes about the instruments, the calibration or the people.

What has changed

Gill has run separate websites for its measurement businesses for years. From today they are one. Wind sensors, compact and separable weather stations, optical rain gauges, liquid level sensors, non-contact position sensors, oil debris condition monitoring and gas engine controls now sit in a single catalogue, with one enquiry form and one downloads library behind it.

Why we did it

Buyers do not shop by company structure. Someone specifying a wind sensor for a vessel and someone specifying a level sensor for a race car have the same problem: they need the right instrument, the datasheet that proves it, and an engineer who can answer a question about mounting or output. Splitting that across separate sites made all three harder to find.

It also means a single place to hold the things that apply across the whole group: the accreditations, the calibration route, the export reach and the engineering support.

What happens to the old addresses

Every page that moved carries a permanent redirect to its closest equivalent. Nothing redirects to the homepage. Saved links, bookmarked datasheets and references in tender documents continue to resolve, and the pages they land on carry the current issue of each datasheet.

What is not changing

The instruments, the specifications, the part numbers, the calibration and the people are the same. Gill remains an independent British manufacturer, designing and building in Lymington, with products in service in more than 150 countries.

What this means

Gill has consolidated its separate business websites into one site. Every measurement product now sits in a single catalogue with one enquiry route, and every moved page carries a permanent redirect, so existing links keep working. The instruments, part numbers and calibration are unchanged.
